As we begin our Biodiesel Project it is clear there are a zillion key facts and bodies of data we need to complete the project. We need your help to gather and analyze the data. Here is an example:

1. How What is the total population of South Carolina school buses?
2. How many of them run on gasoline, and how many of them run on diesel?
3. How old is the fleet, and who made the engines?
4. Who are the points-of-contact for their purchase, operation, maintenance and disposal?

Perhaps you will only be able to gather this information for your school or district. That's just fine! Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Note to teachers: This should be an excellent exercise in teaching students to gather field data, analyze it and organize it into a useful report. If you are short on software, please go to www.openoffice.org.
